Our family friendly and excellence driven practice will not only become one of your home’s best friend’s but also the link you’ve been missing when it comes to increasing your self worth as an individual!
We are proud to announce that we are an affiliate and member of SAAAD, the South African Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. The Academy is a source of accurate and useful information to the public and to the profession alike. We also boast with affiliations to SAAO, SADA and The Paedodontic society of SA.. Ceramic Crowns and Veneers
Ceramic crowns are best described as “helmets” for your teeth. They cover the entire portion of the tooth above the gumline. They are best used to restore severely broken down teeth to its original shape and prevent further fractures. They’re also used for cosmetic purposes such as correcting a smile or straightening teeth when orthodontics are not an option. Crowns are strongly recommended to provide protection for teeth that have undergone root canal treatment.
Veneers are described as ”masks” for your teeth. They are a layer of ceramics that are bonded to the front surface of your teeth for cosmetic purposes. They require less preparation than a crown and are best used to correct chips or fractures on the front teeth. They are also an alternate method to whiten your smile when conventional teeth whitening is ineffective. Veneers are ideal for aesthetic cases involving the correcting of smiles as they minimise damage to the teeth.
Bridges are three or more crowns connected together to replace missing teeth. They involve the preparation of the teeth adjacent to a space and can be a useful for cases that do not allow the placement of an implant.
Implants are titanium screws that are placed in the jaw to replace missing teeth. They are best described as an artificial root. They can be used to anchor removable dentures to provide stability or to replace single missing teeth. The process involves the placement of the implant into the jaw and allowing it to heal for 3 – 6 months. This allows the bone to “wrap” around the implant screw and become part of the jaw. This prevents the loss of bone around the areas of the missing teeth. Once the implant is secure, crown can be replaced to fill the gap between teeth. The result is more predictable and is fast becoming the preferred method of treating missing teeth.
We provide basic botox that is injected into the facial muscles to improve moderate to severe frown lines, especially on the forehead, between the eyebrows and around the eyes. An assessment is carried out and the whole treatment takes approximately 30min. The results can be seen in 3 – 14 days and lasts up to 4 months.
Juvederm is a dermal filler that is used to instantly smooth out moderate to severe wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth. It can also be used to define the borders of lips and add volume. Results are instant and can last up to 1 year.
